Sungil Park Director
Sung-il Park is the director of Invest KOREA’s Finance Industry Investment Promotion team where he directs the team in its goal of matching Korean companies and overseas strategic or financial investors.
Before joining Invest KOREA in 1998, Mr. Park worked at Ssangyong Securities from 1984 to 1997 where in 1993 he launched and managed a $50 million Emerging Market Growth Fund. At Ssangyong he also served as Managing Director for Ssangyong Securities Asia in Hong Kong, as well as Director for Ssangyong Securities Europe in London.
Mr. Park obtained a BS in Statistics from Kyungpook National University and an MS in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He can be reached at simon@kotra.or.kr.
Changyun Han Deputy Director
Changyun Han joined Invest Korea’s Financial Industry Investment Promotion Team as Deputy Director in 2011. He assists in managing the team’s overseas and domestic events and budgeting.
Prior to joining the Financial Industry Investment Promotion Team he was the Director of the Korea Business Center in Baku, Azerbaijan from 2008 to 2011.

DC Choi Executive Consultant
Mr. DC Choi is an Executive Consultant at Invest KOREA (KOTRA) where he focuses on the private equity and venture capital industries, partnering Korean GPs with foreign LPs and Korean corporations with foreign investors.
Mr. Choi’s previous positions include Managing Director at Goodmorning Shinhan Securities Europe Limited in London, Head of International Business and Head of International Finance at Shinhan Investment Corporation in Seoul. He spent a large part of his earlier career in selling Korean equities for foreign institutional investors and has been involved in landmark underwriting deals of various KRX-listed companies.
Mr. Choi holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Kyunghee University.
Jiun Park Executive Consultant
Jiun Park has been with the Financial Industry Investment Promotion Team since 2010. She applies her background in accounting and finance to sourcing and consulting Korean companies with the aim of matching them with foreign investors.
Prior to coming to Invest KOREA she spent 9 years at PricewaterhouseCooper member-firm Samil, where she specialized in corporate finance and M&As.

Bernice Lee Manager
In her role as manager of the Financial Industry Investment Promotion Team, Bernice Lee focuses on attracting FDI by staging IR and networking events for PE and VC investors.
Ms. Lee’s previous positions include manager at Kotra’s (Korea Trade-Investment Promotions Agency) Shanghai office. She spent most of her earlier career matching Korean SMEs with Chinese buyers and investors and played a role in facilitating deals between Korean & Chinese companies.

Hwankuk Kang CFA Assistant Manager
Hwankuk Kang joined Invest Korea’s Financial Industry Investment Promotion Team in 2009, where as Assistant Manager he is in charge of matching Korean venture companies and international VC investors as well as promotion for Korea’s Global Win-Win Fund.
Mr. Kang has his BA in Business Administration from the University of Hamburg. In his free time he enjoys playing chess and tied for the first place ranking in Korea in 2008. He can be reached at kcc2008@kotra.or.kr
