According to Wireless Week, Samsung Ventures, is to invest $5 million in Stoke, a U.S. based network gateway maker. The investment is intended to bolster Samsung’s portfolio of core network gear, helping to establish itself as a leader of the LTE infrastructure market.
According to the article, Samsung has its sights set high, aiming to become the third-largest provider of LTE infrastructure technology by the end of this year. For Stoke, the investment was also about achieving synergys between the companies products and Samsung’s broad customer base. The two companies have already been working together for six months, and are collaborating on nine projects.
